Farmers emphasize "research is the heart of farmers"

Agricultural Research Development Agency or ARDA participated in the activities of the discussion on the topic “Utilizing research results to drive the Grassroots Economy” on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Lotus Room 1-2 Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World, Bangkok, and via electronic media (Zoom Cloud Meeting) on Thailand Research Expo 2022 held between 1 – 5 August 2022. The event objective is the remembrance of his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Rama IX, is the father of Thai Research, is a national forum to present research progress and innovations with potential and usefulness in disseminating knowledge for the benefit of the country development by integrating linking cooperation between organizations and networks in research systems across the country.

                The seminar topic “Utilizing research results to drive the Grassroots Economy” focuses on exchanging knowledge and bringing research results to a grassroots economy that supports the proven driving and development and expands the results to the region. As well as to create awareness and understanding from both the point of view of researchers Research driving agency and farmers who led the research to utilize it, with Mr. Chayakorn Bussuwanno, the Office of Utilization Promotion as a moderator by the participants in the discussion. As following:

1. Dr. Sansak Nakavisut, Poultry Expert, Livestock Development Group (Researcher) Dimensions of research creativity responding to spatial problems

2. Mr. Panuwat Leelerkiat, Ratchaburi Provincial Agriculture Office Dimensions driving research results to create spatial impact

3. Mr. Simon Panya, National Outstanding Farmer Animal husbandry field of the year 2012, Dimension of knowledge transfer from research results to spatial networks

4. Mr. Prasert Yoosorn, a local chicken farmer and invent an automatic native chicken egg incubator, Dimensions of using research to create jobs to build careers

5. Mrs. Rapee Waenphet, Outstanding Farmer at the District Level, Field Crops, the Year 2022, Dimensions to expand research results with participation

                Perspectives of the researcher create spatial problems in the field have to a goal that meets the quantity and quality of the product in increased income, and create economic, social, and environmental value for the area. Perspectives of researchers drive farmers in the area of conducting collaborations to build networks between the owners of research and innovation with people who have the potential to transfer or expand research and innovation results that are suitable to the targeted areas. Applying technology to a wide range to pass on to use in the agricultural sector disseminates various knowledge, including production planning throughout the value chain effective and the development of the livelihood for farmers in the area. The Farmer's point of view led the research to take advantage of comment research is the heart of the farmers, which benefits from bringing research results that are transmitted to farmers in the area through techniques and cultural beliefs as well as seeing good examples from successful model farmers. There will be a transfer of knowledge from research from farmers to farmers themselves, which gaining knowledge from the research sector to change production from the original to using new technologies and knowledge.
