ARDA organized to brainstorm opinions at the policy level (Policy Forum), “Remove Eastern Durian Lessons 2022 for the Future Opportunities,” and new challenges” and training “Management and control of dry twig and root rot disease to quality durian produc

              July 18, 2022, Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization) or ARDA organized to brainstorm opinions at the policy level (Policy Forum) on “Remove Eastern Durian Lessons 2022 for the Future Opportunities and new challenges” and training “Management  and control of dry twig and root rot disease to quality durian production” at Agricultural Research and Development Region 6, Khlung , Chanthaburi  province. The objective is to disseminate research results and knowledge on the management of important diseases affecting durian production quality to durian farmers,  interest people  and people in general,  and opportunities to all parties, including gardeners, Thai Durian Association, International Agro Trade Promotion Association, Thai-Chinese Agribusiness Trade Association, Public sector, academic sector, Lhong, purchasers, processors, and durian exporters as well as other agencies  has monitored the current situation of production and marketing of oriental durian, including to discuss exchange ideas and suggestions on new opportunities and challenges of Thai durian in the future climate change ​Competition with each other from growing are as a new standard for more intense exports cost of inputs Labor Crisis and Substitute Tools Protocol and logistics Mechanisms or systems that will lead to clear, sustainable solutions, etc., which will lead to policy proposals in determining the direction and goals of solving problems of Thai durian in the whole system that are consistent with the facts and the current situation,  and lead to research funding of ordination or other support to accommodate future changes.

                The seminar and training forum is honored by the director of Agricultural Research and Development Region 6, farmer in Chanthaburi province, president of the Eastern Thai Durian Farmers Confederation, president of the Thai Durian Association, vice president of the Thai-Chinese Agribusiness Trade Association, managing director of Farmfriut Company Limited, and faculty of teachers from Kasetsart University (Prof. Dr. Jingtair Siriphanich, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratiya Pongpisutta, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Veeranee Tongsri). Everyone is representative of stakeholders and partners to help strengthen, empower, and upgrade quality Thai durian are sustainable international standards.

                The seminars and training sessions all day, the overwhelming response from durian farmers, entrepreneurs, government, and educational institutions, especially in Chanthaburi, Rayong, and Trat provinces, total more than 150 people. During the forum, all day participants see the durian production situation in the eastern region, knowledge from research on the control and management of durian diseases important, time information of product to the market, government measures, and solutions to soft durian problems. Traceability of the Chinese Customs Office the whole story soft durian, pests, toxic and Covid-19, zero Covid-19, frozen durian overview, upgrading the quality of Thai durian, Thai durian trade pattern, pushing for green lanes, and adding containers for fast shipping, marketing at the destination country, especially the market of the People's Republic of China mechanisms or systems that lead to sustainable solutions, such as managing quality durian production from the beginning durian plantation management course for export Pilot in universities in the eastern area establishment of the Thai Durian Development Fund, etc. Durian research strategic plan to be continued and outlined needs to be prepared for 2023 and in the future, receiving suggestions, opinions, and feedback from the forum to be used as a proposal for agricultural policy toward the development of Thai durian for sustainable growth and progress in the future.
