ARDA organizes Plant Cultivation Training Workshop with Wick Technology

On Friday, June 11, 2021, Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization) or ARDA, and the Department of Agricultural Extension organized a training workshop about “Plant Cultivation with Water-saving Cement Ring and Wick technology by old tires” at ARDA meeting room and Zoom could meetings. By having Mr. Itthidej Atthapaisan, Advisor of the Office of ARDA, and Mrs. Pallin Phuangmee, Director of the Agricultural Extension Research and Development Division, Department of Agricultural Extension was providing guidelines for the participants such as technology brings the oil absorption of the wick and applied by bringing the cloth to absorb water into the soil used to grow plants. This is a water-saving crop and saves time for watering. Users can modify according to locally available materials. Suitable for use as a career or to grow vegetables for self-consumption within the household. Mr. Wanchai Hanwichai and Mrs. Piangphit Hanwichai, farmers in Uthai Thani province, have successfully expanded the results and received support from government agencies to become a learning center for principles of sufficiency economy and organic agriculture. The training was attended by 297 farmers from various provinces across the country such as Samut Prakan, Kanchanaburi, Rayong, Nakhon Sawan, Lamphun, Ranong, Phuket, Phatthalung, and Yala, as well as agricultural extension and development office staff 2, 3, 5, and 6.
