ARDA Unveils Groundbreaking Research at Farm Expo 2024, Driving Thailand’s Agricultural Future with Cutting-Edge Technology and Innovation

On October 3, 2024, Mr. Chavalit Chookajorn, Chairman of the Board of the Agricultural Research Development Agency (ARDA), alongside Dr. Vicharn Ingsrisawang, ARDA Executive Director, and ARDA staffs, participated in the grand opening of Farm Expo 2024.Themed of the event is “Revolutionizing Farm Business”, was initiated by Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who shared the ministry's forward-looking vision in her keynote address on “Agricultural Policy 2025”.

The opening ceremony saw the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with leaders from the private sector, who gathered to highlight the pivotal role of technology and innovation in transforming Thai agriculture. The event aims to boost agricultural quality, enhance business opportunities, and promote research collaborations, all under the strategic framework of “Market-Led, Innovation-Driven, and Income-Boosting”.

Dr. Vicharn Ingsrisawang delivered a special lecture titled “Become Legendary: Creating New Opportunities in Research and Development”, further emphasizing ARDA’s commitment to advancing agricultural capabilities through cutting-edge research, and explored a diverse array of agricultural innovations showcased at the expo, including Welight Beverage, a drink made from Sangyod rice that boosts red blood cell production, and other high-value medical foods like lactose-free rice milk. Also featured were products Malila and Chicken and Mixed Vegetable Soup, among many other innovative offerings.

Farm Expo 2024 will run from October 3 to 6, 2024, at Hall 98-99 of the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
