ARDA visited the area to follow up on the progress of driving economic development BCG Model Ratchaburi Province: aromatic coconut vegetable

             On November 18, 2022, the Agriculture Research Development Agency (Public Organization) or ARDA, led by Dr. Vicharn Ingsrisawang, Executive Director of ARDA, and executive visited the area to follow up on the progress of driving economic development BCG Model Ratchaburi Province at Nc coconut co.,ltd., Phaengphuai Subdistrict, Damnernsaduak District, Ratchaburi Province.

          According to the cabinet resolution approving the drive for bio-economy development, circular economy, and green economy (Bio-Circular-Green economy: BCG Model): an economic model for sustainable development as a national agenda from 2021 by driving the development of the agricultural sector, the goal is to "change the agriculture system of Thailand to the three highs, which are high efficiency, high standards, and high income. The sub-committee on driving economic development with the BCG economic model in agriculture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, selected pilot areas in 5 provinces, namely Ratchaburi, Lampang, Khon Kaen, Chanthaburi, and Phatthalung. Driving in the form of area-based integration by using 4P cooperation (Public-Private-People-Professional partnership) between farmers groups, the government sector, the private sector, and educational institutions in the area to promote and support farmers in creating added value for the province's target products to cover all dimensions from upstream, midstream, and downstream, leading to further driving of the province's economy and tourism.

          Ratchaburi Province determines the types of targeted agriculture products namely aromatic coconut, sugarcane, dairy cow, pork, lobster and vegetable and establishing a value chain of targeted agricultural products namely aromatic coconut, sugarcane, dairy cow, pork, lobster and vegetable drive operations from the normal budget of the agency budget of provinces and provincial groups and research support from Agriculture Research Development Agency (Public Organization)(ARDA) and National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

          Dr. Yukol Limlamtong, Chairman of the sub-committee for driving economic development with the BCG economic model in agriculture and Dr. Teerayut Tuchinda, secretary of the sub-committee for driving economic development with the BCG economic model in agriculture has determined to follow up on the progress of driving economic development BCG Model, Ratchaburi province of 2 target agricultural products, namely Aromatic coconuts and vegetables under the cooperation Public-Private-People-Professional partnership (4P) among farmers groups, government sector, private sector, educational institutions in the area to monitor progress and listen to problems and obstacles in driving the provincial BCG to create added value for products that cover all dimensions from upstream, midstream, and downstream, leading to further driving of the economy, society, and the environment which such operation Received cooperation in driving economic development in aromatic coconuts and vegetables from various agencies such as the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Department of Agriculture Kasetsart University King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi Institute of Food Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), Thai Chamber of Commerce, Ratchaburi Provincial Chamber of Commerce Ratchaburi Provincial Agriculture and Cooperatives Office Ratchaburi Provincial Agriculture Office, etc.
